EastVille Gardens

79 Units in NYC Saving $459 per unit, per year with positive ROI after 6 months..

Newly renovated nineteen story building

located in the heart of lower Manhattan.

Project completed in just over 4.5 months

EastVille Realty Group is an apartment building in a community filled with landmarks and historical points of interest.

Built in 1928, located in Brooklyn. This building is managed by C & C Management and contains one, two and three bedroom units (giving us an idea of how many people per unit, or how much water is expected to be used per unit). It is one of the oldest buildings the Water Scrooge has worked on and that has been renovated recently. Which means that placing some equipment may require knowledge of older building structures and how that can affect our product in the present and future.

A large residential development like 98 Thayer St. faces unique challenges when trying to reduce costs while keeping their property operations running smoothly. Every problem and every cost is amplified on a large scale. EastVille condominiums were concerned with their constantly increasing water and hot water usage and the rising cost of water and energy in New York City. They needed a solution that would work on a community wide scale and they needed someone that would be able to implement that solution seamlessly. The management team at 98 Thayer St. turned to The Water Scrooge because of their industry leading, proprietary solutions and their track record reducing water and hot water related costs in large multi-family properties in the New York City area.

The Water Scrooge team needed to identify the cause of the rising water usage at EastVille so they can provide the right solution, and they had to do it for more then 170 buildings. They started by analyzing the water usage for the entire EastVille development, building by building. After extensive research, The Water Scrooge was able to propose a solution. The Water Scrooge implemented their solution in phases in order to test their assumptions about the causes of the community wide water problem. After succesfull deployment in the first group of buildings, they scaled up to the rest of the locations. The Water Scrooge was able to identify the root causes of the high water usage, and and confirm the reduction in water usage at each building throughout the project.

Testimonial

"I wanted to take a moment to thank the entire crew for a job well done in our properites. Thanks to you efforts identifying water leaks and installing water savings devices in bath and kitchen fixtures, we have been able to successfully reduce our water usage and energy costs without affecting water pressure. As fuel prices and water and sewer rates have steadily increased each year... you've given us a way to run our properties more efficiently. I sincerely appreciate that you took the time to evaluate our monthly bills and determine how our properties can benefit from your services. Thanks again for your personal attention and dedication to our account."
