Refunds

At The Water Scrooge™, we GUARANTEE satisfaction. We offer a 100% guarantee on all our products. If you are not satisfied for whatever reason, For a full refund, contact The Water Scrooge™ by email within 30 business days of receiving what appears to you as a faulty product (please take pictures if damaged upon arrival) to document any issues so that we can use your photos to make any USPS shipping claims.

After the above is completed, please return the product to The Water Scrooge™ for internal analyses, and you are more than welcome to use the mail option of your choice.

If we mistakenly send out the wrong item or if the item was damaged during shipping, we will pay for a return label to have it returned and replaced. But if for some reason, the buy has a change of heart and wishes to return their unopened product, the cost of return shipping will be paid by the customer.

Returns

Returns are allowed within seven days of delivery.

Returns must be unused and unopened. Shipping costs will not be refunded. The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.

Refunds will be issued once the product has been confirmed received, but once received, every effort must be made to handle the refund the same day.

All refunds require RMA.

Disposition of unopened refunded products to be decided by The Water Scrooge staff.

There is a 15% restocking fee for all product returns.

During checkout, you will be given the complete terms of your purchase. Those terms include your clear understanding that we are selling these products. If you decide to purchase our products, you are drawing your opinions on any additional benefits or use these products may provide.

Your acceptance of the terms of purchase means you agree to and understand the refund policy.

DAMAGE DURING SHIPPING

We take customer satisfaction very seriously. Our products are tested for quality, and all shipments are carefully inspected before leaving our warehouse.

Upon arrival, please check your shipment carefully to ensure it has not been damaged during shipping. All claims for damaged products must be made within 72hrs.

Please contact us and provide detailed information for any product damaged during shipping within that time.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY:

The Water Scrooge (“TWS”) offers its customers (“you”) a one-year limited warranty against failure or defects in materials or workmanship in any product (the “Product”) or its parts, subject to the terms and conditions set forth below. If the Product or any of its parts fails during the first year of operation, TWS or its representative will repair or replace the Product free of charge. For this warranty to apply, you must provide proof that the Product has been installed properly and before-and-after proof that such Product is not operating as warranted.

What Is Not Covered:

This warranty does not cover damage to the Product caused by improper installation, a surge or disruption in power (however caused), a water leak resulting from limescale removal, misuse, abuse, or force majeure (i.e., a flood or earthquake, etc.). Please be aware that water leaks from plumbing systems may result from the limescale removal process or when you open back the water main after a water shutdown process. You are therefore advised and have a duty to periodically inspect your plumbing systems to ensure that compression joints remain watertight.

How To Make A Claim & Get Service:

A claim under this warranty must be submitted by email to TWS or the authorized dealer or vendor from which you purchased the Product, and such email must include:
Copy of the original receipt or proof of purchase of the Product, (ii) proof that the Product has been installed properly, (iii) a written explanation of the issue(s) with the Product, and (iv) one or more pictures of the Product and surrounding area that displays such issue(s). A TWS representative will then review your claim and contact you within ten business days to coordinate the product's repair or replacement or request additional information.

Limitations:

Warranty claims are strictly limited to the value of the original purchase price or the repair or replacement cost. TWS shall not be responsible for water leaks or damage caused by limescale removal. This warranty is invalid unless the Product is properly used with an appropriate surge protection device of adequate quality to protect it and its electronic components. TWS will not be responsible for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or other loss or damage that may result from a product defect. TWS reserves the right to determine the validity of any claim and remedy in its sole discretion
